Coronavirus Customer Update – A message from our MD

Dear Customer,

I wanted to give you a further update on how we are adapting to the changing environment being dictated by the COVID-19 crisis. As previously noted, the welfare of our employees, customers and wider stakeholders is our key priority.

Last night we received very clear guidance with regards to the requirement to change our lifestyles and minimise social contact. We are fully supportive of this position so that together we can move forwards. As a direct consequence of this latest development, we have taken the decision to temporarily suspend production in all of our factories. This is necessary to protect the wellbeing of our employees, their families, our customers and the wider communities we operate in. This temporary suspension of production will be done in a safe and orderly manner to enable us to return back to full production as the situation improves.

As you are aware, over the last 12 to 18 months Ibstock has focused on significantly investing in the reliability and capacity of our assets. As a result, we have good stock levels and are confident that by working together with our partners we can continue to meet your needs throughout this period. At this stage we are continuing to despatch product and will do so while ever we deem this to be safe. Our commercial teams continue to work remotely and can process orders, payments and respond to your questions as required.

As key strategic partners, it is important we communicate clearly and regularly. Our senior leadership team are at your disposal and welcome any queries you may have. If you direct your questions through your Account Manager or Sales Director, we will ensure a prompt response.

We know this is a difficult time for everyone, and want to thank you for your understanding. Our best wishes are with you, your families and your wider colleagues.
