Apprentices of the Year 2018

Apprentices of the Year 2018

In 2015 a new award was introduced for the Apprentice of the Year, which recognises Apprentices that have excelled technically, academically and those that have gone the extra mile. This year the calibre of Apprentices was so impressive that the judges struggled to name a sole winner.

So this year, for the first time, two Apprentices were honoured with the award and both received well earned praise and recognition at the Senior Leadership Team conference at the Stratford Manor Hotel on 2nd April.

Huge congratulations to Mechanical Engineering Apprentice, Jonathan Hackett, from Lodge Lane, and Technical Apprentice, Phil Atherton, from Ravenhead.

Earlier this year, we were also delighted to have been named as a finalist in the Most Inspiring Apprenticeship Programme category for The Inspire Awards which celebrate diversity and inclusion in the construction, engineering and housing sectors in the UK – read the full blog here.
