Challenge

Develop an exquisite residential site of over 40 luxury homes, ranging from 2,720 to 3m189 sq. ft with stunning architecture taking centre stage.

Solution

Ashfield Hall is Bangor’s newest and most exciting residential development. An exquisite development of over 40 luxury homes, Ashfield Hall is situated in the highly sought-after location of Ballycrochan Road. With a superb range of outstanding family homes all cleverly incorporated in a delightfully planned site layout, this magnificent development offers an unrivalled specification. It introduces a whole new choice of stylish living to Bangor.

Ashfield Hall has a choice of impeccably designed luxury homes providing thoughtfully planned internal layouts. The well-proportioned accommodation in each of these superb homes is perfectly geared for the rigours of a modern family lifestyle. Ranging in sizes from 2,720 to 3,189 sq. ft approx., each home is complemented by superb individually landscaped gardens.

The choice of materials used throughout the site was specified by architect Boland Reilly Homes Ltd (BRH). He gave careful thought to the current needs of the site and its environment, as well as looking to ensure the homes stood the test of time.

Combining Ibstock Glenallen and Ibstock Navan bricks together enabled the architect to form a traditional yet sleek aesthetic of the building envelope, allowing for the stunning architecture of the development to take centre stage. Defined by swooping high ceilings and poignant bay windows, the bricks were selected for their colour variation, texture and uniformity, together with the mortar, highlighting the tonal variations within the brick.

Throughout the development, brick specials were used to create standout designs to allow the intricate features of the building to shine through. Used underneath bay windows and across the edges of the build, these individually designed bricks were curated for this project in mind, showcasing the versatility of the product which can lend itself to both traditional and modern designs.

Drawing on the rich history of brick buildings within Bangor, the building combines traditional construction techniques as well as contemporary craftsmanship throughout the brickwork patterns and handmade special bricks.

Externally, great thought and attention to detail has gone in to making the homes notable for their stylish finish, enhancing the ambience of the development and providing a classical look that will maintain its appeal for decades to come. The impressive entrance, superb designs, quality finish and proximity to open countryside and the town centre all set this development apart as something truly special.
